To get your API key, you simply need to signup. You can do that here. It takes less than 30 seconds to register.
1. From the dashboard, click on your avatar in the top right corner and then "Settings". 
2. In the side menu click on "Integration settings" and your unique API key will be listed:

No we backup everything in Azure Devops. At this stage that includes Repos, Build & Release Definitions, Variable Groups, Work Items and are expanding that reach daily. We have items such as project and organisation settings on our roadmap too.

Yes. So by default when you signup for Backrightup, we'll do a daily backup of everything we support in your Azure Devops Organisation. The Azure Devops Extension allows you to kickoff backups within your pipelines which are then created in addition to the daily backups.
